Stuff You Should Know

While you’re with us, please focus on having a great time at MAGIC Live! We’ll be focused on providing you the opportunity to do just that, while also ensuring the safety and comfort of everyone. On this page, you’ll find some information and policies that will help us all stay focused on that great time. Thank you.

Badges

It is mandatory that you wear your badge at all convention activities. Please make sure your name is facing out and clearly visible. Your badge gets you into sessions and events that do not require a separate ticket.

On a very serious note, please don’t share your badge. If someone is caught using your badge, they and you will be asked to leave the convention.

Seating

All seating is first come, first served.

Any show ticket may be used as a stand-by ticket for another performance of that show, space permitting.

Due to the intimacy of the theaters, we cannot seat latecomers in Elements: A Close-up Experience, and there is no reentry should you have to leave.

Your show tickets are good until showtime, then we seat anyone standing by for that performance.

Photography / Video

Feel free to take non-flash photography during any of our sessions, but not during shows. Also, there is no videoing, live streaming, or audio recording allowed at any shows or sessions.

Sessions

Registrants with ORANGE lanyards attend General Sessions each morning (10:00 am) and Focus Sessions in the afternoon (2:15 and 3:30 pm).

Registrants with BLUE lanyards attend Focus Sessions in the morning (10:00 and 11:15 am) and General Session in the afternoon (2:15 pm).

Code of Conduct

We want MAGIC Live to be a safe, supportive environment for everyone.

Guests are expected to respect common courtesy and refrain from abusive or harmful language or behavior, and non-consensual actions. Sexual harassment of any kind is unacceptable.

Fire / Smoke

No matches, lighters, flash paper, smoke, or fire of any kind may be used anywhere on the convention floor, including the dealer room.

There is NO SMOKING or VAPING on the convention floor.

Selling

Unauthorized sale or advertisement of products or services anywhere on The Orleans property is strictly prohibited by the hotel. Violators will be asked to leave the hotel and their convention registrations will be cancelled.

Cell Phones

Be courteous to your fellow attendees by keeping your cell phone on silent and refraining from texting during shows and sessions.

Surprise!

We’ve always known the power of surprise here at MAGIC Live, which is why we keep so many secrets. Now we’re asking you to keep a few secrets yourself.

Please don’t share information about the sessions or shows on social media or with your friends who haven’t seen them yet. Refrain from even mentioning who spoke or performed, or offer any little hint of what happened. Let your friends have the same fun of discovery you did.

MAGIC Live reserves the right to revoke, without refund, the badge of attendees who break any of these policies. And we really don’t want to do that. Thanks for understanding.
